++ New Year Resolutions ++
1. Start reading the Bible everyday.
May God help me on this. To know you better, and to know you deeper.

2. Exercise and keep fit.
Heading to the Army really soon, and I don't think I want to stay there for an extra 2 months for body training.

3. Be a better role model for my brother.
So, he will see me as someone important in his life.

4. Have better self-control on my temper.
And not fused-out everytime.

5. Save money.
So I could get what I want, and to save up for my future.

6. Go to church cell group at least once a month.
I know, I know, I will try my best.

7. Cherish what I have.
Very important. Live like I'm dying tomorrow.

8. Learn how to cook and improve my baking skills.
As a hobby, and as a skill, a life-time skill.

9. Learn guitar.
I promised my aunt that I will learn guitar, so I could play it on Christmas. For 2 years, I've failed. And I will try my best, not to, for next year.

10. Travel.
Failed to travel this year. Better make it a point to escape my busy lifestlyle next year.

11. Brush up my Photoshop skills.
So I could produce better graphics, for my work, and for the forums.

12. At least 1 Outing with friends per month.
Movies, dinners, part of spending more time with my friends.

13. Re-furnish my house.
Make a better and a more pleasant place to live in.

14. Get some new clothes, for God's sake.
I noticed that I keep wearing the same shirt and pants everytime. Better buy some new ones.

15. Learn a new language.
Korean, most probably. Basics, checked. Moving on..

16. Change my bad habits.
And get more new habits.

It's a long list...but I know I can do all this.

Fighting!

++ Tuesday, 29th December 2009 ++
2009 is ending in a couple of days. Argh great, I'm another year older.

Anyway, I had lots of fun today, Pastor Vincent came for bible studies with us. We got to play XBOX360 together and the "shoot your butt" thing is really hilarious. Of course, we did Guitar Hero too. All sorts of jumping, crazy singing, screaming, shouting, we got it all.

Grace and SingYi came for dinner at my house. It's fun..

Now what should I do for the rest of my holidays? Just a few days to go, and I don't think I want to waste it.

++ Where are you Christmas? ++
Why can't I find you? Why have you gone away? ...

In a blink of an eye, this year's Christmas is over. Time flies when you're having fun. So true.

On the 24th, we had celebration at NLC. We had fun, bringing Melissa and Theresa to explore the church, finding seats. God, there was totally..a shortage of seats. We sat, 10 minutes later, newcomers came, and we got to let them have our seats. Great.

After the celebration. No wait, we left halfway, at 10pm and went to Vivocity. By the time we reach there, it was 11.30pm cos' there was a major traffic jam at Orchard Road. As expected, the bus moved a few metres every few minutes. People were totally crowding like sardines. We had Starbucks, before heading home.

On the 25th, we had celebration at Grandma's house. We helped her clean-up the house, moved some furnitures and preparing for the dinner. Sang songs, have dinner, some games, exchanging of presents, lots of activities. I'm glad that we can come together and gather, as cousins, as a family, because in the future, when the older generations left us, we will have each other as support.

Got home at around 1am on both days.

On the 26th, oh that's today. We were supposed to have another celebration with the Sohs. We had planned everything, but something cropped out at their side. Now I'm left hanging for the rest of my day.

++ Food Review: Nihon Mura 日本村 ++
Address:
20 Jurong West Street 93
#04-01 Jurong West Sports & Recreation Centre

Tel: +65 6795 9162

It's my first time visiting this restaurant.

Ambience/Setting - 7.8
Food & Beverage - 4.5
Value - 6.3
Service - 7.1

The best thing about this place, is no doubt the atmosphere. And the worst thing, is the food. Imba salty. It's as if their salt is free. We ordered the salmon head, and we found one holy-big pile of salt in it. The beverages are not bad, price is quite resonable as well.

In short, I probably won't go there again.

Before we went there, we actually a taxi there, so there's this taxi-driver, who kept saying that he knows the Jurong West area "very well". Yes, he said that.

We got into his taxi, music was blasting, alright, I'll let that passed.

"Where do you want to go?"

"Jurong West Sports and Recreation Centre."

"What's the street name?"
Fuck you, it's your job to know. You try to ask foreigners that. As if they know.

"No idea."

My dad keeps repeating Jurong Sports Hall. Japanese Restaurant. what shit.

"You see, I know the area very well, but you go to tell me the street name."
Fuck you, you claimed that you know the area very well, and you don't know how to go there.

"Uhh...It's next to Pioneer MRT"

"Look, I know the area very well, and I never come across Pioneer MRT? Joo Koon is it?"
What the fuck.

In the end, I gave up talking to him, just got onto GPRS on my phone, and find the darn street name for him.

What an imbecile.

++ Avatar, and beyond [!] ++
Beyond US$500 million, right.

Avatar(3D)

Storyline: 9/10

Visual Efx: 10/10

Sound Efx: 9/10

Overall: 9.3/10

One word: IMBA(too awesome)

The movie without 3D would be great too. Anyway, the 3D glasses are quite heavy on your nose. So, minus the 3D effect, which was nothing much anyway, minus the weight.

Really fun, and tiring day. Brought a Birthday-X'mas present for my brother, I got him two recipe books. He likes to cook, so oh well, might as well get him some.

Met with my 9 friends for movie and dinner at Carl's Junior. Anyway, someone left his passport on the table, but we returned it to the counter. We are good citizens, you see, we don't take something that is not ours. But I wonder why would someone take out his passport when he's eating.

Walked around, arcade, pet shops, supermart, before heading back home. Whew. More plans coming up next week!

-Paint House
-Drawing Project
-Christmas Gathering at church
-X'mas party at Grandma's House
(I haven't even plan the dinner menu)

XBOX 360: Left 4 Dead 2 (M18)

Retail price: $64.90 (at Comics Connection)

Gameplay: 8/10

Sound: 8/10

Overall: 8/10

A year ago, Valve released Left 4 Dead, an unique co-operative experience of players going through 4 seperate stages. And now, welcome the sequel for this epic and addictive game. Bigger, badder and better.

Did you think 4 Special Infected was not enough? Well, Valve has kindly added 3 new ones in L4D2, including the infamous Jockey who climbed onto survivors and steer them into a mob of zombies. Not enough? How 'bout the gruesome Spitter or the one-armed rammer? Of course, there's still the Tank, it's not Left 4 Dead without it.

Sounds intimidated by those newcomers? Chill. The survivors have finally know how to wield a melee weapon. Thank God. Frying pan, katana, electric guitar, or even the all-time favourites. Chainsaws...anyone? How 'bout bile bombs? Yuck. I know.

And...Seriously, there is no surviving without teamwork. Of all the games I played, this is the game that relies mostly on it. Get yourself into a bad team? You're probably done for.

5 campaigns, over 20 exciting levels and so many different kind of game modes, I don't see any reasons not to get it.

P.S. Buy it, not download it. Valve needs to eat.

On top of the flu yesterday, I got a fever. Damn.

Fortunately, it had resided, probably because of the white-powdery-looking medicine I took yesterday. And the same medicine, made my eye swollen like hell, because it's too strong for me.

For the right eye, it's just the lower lid, but for the other, both lids are so swollen and watery-looking. As the upper lid is heavy, it makes my eyes closed all the time. So I had to, like use my hands to keep my eyes wide opened for whatever I'm doing.

The feeling is just one word - Horrible.

But it's alright now, though my left eye doesnt really look as normal, right now. Thank God.

Oh by the way, it's holidays! Time to relax. Oh did I mentioned I brought Left4Dead 2 on XBOX360? It's an awesome game. Chainsaws and blood equal bloodilicious.

++ Monday, 7 December 2009 ++
Yesterday, it was a great day, and a tiring one too.

Church as usual, duties as usual, ZR came along too. Anyway, there's this kid, who always ran off after he "brought" a packet of Milo, without paying money. It happened twice already, I didn't even bother to serve him now. Yong, a helper at the Food & Beverage told me that she's leaving on next April. I'll definitely miss her and I even joked that I'm gonna quit after she left. But I won't. I serve because of God and I will continue to do so.

Talking about serving, I just finished the Camp Booklet for the Youth Camp: Re-fresh 4.5. Spent a few hours on it, the skills I gained from doing icons and banners definitely help alot. And I'm glad I'm in the publicity team too.

So after my duties, we went for lunch at Takashimaya, had Yoshinoya, and then met wit ZR's mother and sister, PeiYi at 313@Somerset. It's a pretty new building, so it's really flooded, especially Uniqlo. We still had to queue up in order to enter, we waited for 5 minutes, which was considered short. Brought a hoodie at $9.90, Zr's family brought a whole lot of stuff. We went to HMV and Orchard Central too. The view was amazing, standing on top of the whole Orchard Road. Woah. We had Ya-Kun and went to OG. Walked to Plaza Singapura, before heading back to Clementi.

For short, we basically spend 6 hours walking around in the Orchard area.

We had a really great meal at Sumo House before heading back home. ZR ordered some stuff, I can't decide what to buy, so he went along first. Was planning to buy some SNSD stuff, but I decided to check out the other stores first.

Great day, it was. My feet was worn out at the end of the day.

I'm so jealous that my cousin, Grace would be flying off to Taiwan tomorrow morning, supposedly, we were with them, but my mum backed out. Argh.

++ Parachute Band Concert @ SG ++
Woke up early in the morning to catch Japan Hour, it has become a routine after you done it for years. We took a light breakfast, before meeting ZhiRong, WeiNa, WeiLing, WeiHao, WeiKang and their mum. Deep breath.

Had a combined worship together, ZR left half-way for work, and myself to do my Food & Beverage duties at the canteen. Today was damn busy, as the Senior Pastor decided to give out free coffee for this Special Sunday. Kopi Luwak, they called it. It's a top grade coffee from Indonesia and it costs thousands of dollars just for a few kilograms. Being in a church, flooded with typical Singaporeans, my hands are darn full for at least 30 minutes, working like a god-damn robot.

One bastard even complained why we gave only half-cup, saying if we wanted to give, might as well go all the way and give a full cup. WTF. I don't even give him one piece of shit. You take it or leave it and please shut your hole. Period.

After lunch, we went Ion Orchard together, didn't even have time to buy something, as we have to reach the other church, didn't remember what's the name, but it's in Paya Lebar. The Sohs invited us to their church, so actually, I invited them over in the morning, in exchange.

Full of youths, the church has, I would say. Maybe because there's a concert with, oh yes, the concert. My first ever concert. The Parachute Band! Awesome guys. By the way, I got the 2nd row seating with my friends, and it's beside the drummer. For God's sake. It's seriously deafening. But praise God, I didn't go deaf. They were totally rocking the whole auditorium with praise and love.

So here's a picture of how they looked like:

Anyway, I was so inspired to play the drums, I think I would start with my Guitar Hero drums first.

Had dinner with some of my new friends and Jia Xian even went to Orchard with us later on, they wanted to enjoy the night scene, so I, well, followed, though I was really tired, my eyes are closing. But it's really gorgeous, the lights, the Christmas decorations, *cough* and the girls.

We went to ArtFriend, I had to get some pencils for drawing. We even went to look for ZR and ShuiRong in Takashimaya. It's about 10pm at that time anyway. We had Macdonalds' too, really had fun, lots of laughter, lots of tears, from WeiKang, he's emotion goes up and down, and he tends to cling on to me everytime. He's a bad-ass kid, really loud, un-holy. Lol.

Great fun today, but I'm all burned out when I got home. I think I'm getting old. No way.
