++ World Cup fever(z). ++
In two weeks, the once-in-four-years event is coming to an end, the German team has been going strong so far, thrashing England 4-0.

Well. Huge match coming. Argentina vs Germany. Owningz?

Sorry for the z-pluggingz. It's the new trend in my company nowadays.

++ What a great weekend. ++
And as we all know it - All good things must come to an end. Weekends are over. But fret not, another 4 days, and it will come knocking again.

Great thanks to Wan Ru who organised another outing again, although less than 10 turned up, we had lots of fun. We had games, laughters and even an impromtu birthday celebration for Han Xu. It's his 21st birthday, what a big (China) boy he is now.

Went around with Han Xu, Marilyn and Qiu Han to Far East Plaza, while Wan Ru and my dear Virge go lovey-dovey. Can't wait for another outing soon. It's so awesome to bond with friends.

Had church too on Sunday, when is there not. Tertiary group was fun as well, personality for God's kingdom. Awesome topic. And I had fondue with my dear cousins. I hope we're meeting soon. Camp at my house.

Owning.

++ Flu, Sore throat, Cough, Swollen eye. Damn. ++
Been going through some unpleasant stuff (I rather use, "shit") this few days. And this is one bad-ass combination. They just come one after another.

Went to the doctor earlier on, got some good rest. I hope I could get to work tomorrow, it's not my style to go work when I got an extra day of MC. But since I found another reason, but, but.. uhh. Moving on.

May God heal the sick. Not only me, but there are millions of people outside who need more healing, whether it's physically, mentally or spirituality.

O LORD my God, I cried out to You, And You healed me. (Psalms 30:2 NKJV)

And I will keep them in my prayers, always.

P.S. Thanks for the medicine, Pei Yi. ^^

++ To infinity and beyond! ++
TO be truthfully honest, I'm not a Toy Story fan. It totally means nothing to me, except it's the first ever-made 3D movie. As a child, I didn't care about it, even if I watched it, I didn't remember the story, didn't care about the story. So blindly, without knowing what's Series 1 & 2 is about, I went for it.

Wait, where is it.

Alright found it. Tada. The Toy Story gang!

Animation: 9.5/10

Storyline: 8.2/10

The animation is, I hate to admit it. But it's perfect. From the robotic movements of Ken & Barbie, to the awesome and fluid Spanish Dance of Jessie and Buzz, every motion, every single key-frame is so meticulously plotted out. I see no flaws in it, and it's totally mesmerizing.

90 minutes of run-time for this film is just nice. Every part of the story has sufficient time to portray itself. And it's not too long, to bore the audiences. (Plus, nature calls during a movie totally sucks.) There are parts that you will laugh. Parts that you will be thrilled. And parts that you will be touched. For some reasons, when I watch movies, I get into my emotional-mode too easily. The scenes at SUNNYside is undeniably awesome and thrilling, especially the escaping part. But you got to watch it yourself, yeah.

Moving on to the voice-acting. Tom Hanks definitely did a great job as the voice for Woody. It's so totally sheriff-like. Tim Allen was awesome as well. They totally bring out the life(/soul, rather) in the toys. And not to mention, the blend-shapes/mouthing of words is so beautifully done.

The movie is fun to watch, it's definitely suitable for all age.
WARNING: Just beware that Big Baby don't scare your child away. He gets pretty scary at some parts.

Now, whatever it is. To Infinity, and Beyond!

++ Prophecy of the Popes. ++
The prophecies of the Irish saint Malachy, the 12th century bishop of Armagh who predicted all the popes have thrilled and dismayed readers for centuries. He has stated there will be only one more pope after the current one, and during his reign comes the end of the world.

"In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church there will reign Peter the Roman, who will feed his flock amid many tribulations, after which the seven-hilled city will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people. The End."

The Doomsday Key by James Rollins touched on this topic, of the end of the world. I don't usually read books, but for some reasons, this book just popped out to me, just like my previous read, "Angels & Demons" (-Dan Brown).

Is it true? Only time will tell.

P.S. It would be damn wasted if I die, without comepleting my dreams. Shit.

++ TG at Botanic Gardens. ++
I thought it'd rained in the afternoon, the dark clouds are forming, but I really want to thank God for the weather, it didn't rain (at least, during the picnic and discussion), and it's so windy. The last time I came was a few months ago, with my secondary school classmates. Yeah.

It's a great idea to escape from the city-lifestyle once in awhile. Throw away your troubles, breathe in the fresh air, re-cuperate, re-generate. And just, marvelled at God's creation.

We settled down beside a huge pond, and occasionally some black swans would come out of the water, one came really near to us. Everyone was like examining it. It's walking-style, the feathers, and even the neck.

It would be fun if there would be outings like this again. Yeah? Leader, if you're seeing this.

++ Food Review: Bakerzin (Vivocity) ++

Ambience/Setting - 6.4
Food & Beverage - 6.1
Value - 5.5

When you heard of the word "Bakerzin", what comes to your mind is probably those colourful, bite-sized macarons. You know, the moment you sank your teeth into one of them, the cream just flow out, and the entire flavour just burst in your mouth. That aside, I tried their Linguine Vongole.

The smell is just. White wine. The taste is. Alcoholic. But it does go well with the clams. Every strand of pasta has the bite in it. The flavour was absorbed in it perfectly, although the white wine is just too. What's that word. Overwhelming. But again, what's Linguine Vongole without white wine.

The servers there are exceptionally helpful and friendly, they never fail to put a smile across their face. Except one, who seems to have a bad day. The ambience is noisy, with people watching you, but I would say it's a great location. The moment you stepped into the mall. It's the first store. Straight to the right. You can't missed it.

I am. Defnitely visiting this outlet again. I heard their chocolate souffles are awesome. Can't wait to get my hands mouth on one.

++ Shrek Forever After. ++
It's sad to see that this has ended, but this finished-off well. A great finale to end the Shrek series, one of my favourite 3D animations of all time. For some reasons, the ratings just go down the hill, one after another. It's of diminishing quality, so to speak.

Animation: 9.2/10

Storyline: 7.1/10

Technology really improves since the days of Shrek One. You see the differences. From the models, the textures, the animation, the simulations. With celebrity voices behind the scenes, everything is just as lively. But after awhile, it translates to boredom. (Although I won't deny that the casting team made the excellent choices of choosing the respective actors for the voices.)

I've had read reviews all around, that the movie was not funny at all. I've no idea whether it's with the cultural difference, but it's not the case right here, at least in the cinema that I caught this movie at. There are funny moments where audience just roared their heads off, and there are touching scenes that tugged at our heart-strings.

Not really impressive, but it's a good-to-watch movie, especially if you have watched the first 3, you don't wanna miss out on this one.

++ 8 Random Facts. ++
Alright, this would be fun. *ahem*
Think you know me?

1. The first will always be God's. I'm blessed enough to born in a Christian family, I grew up in Newton Life Church, but to be truthful, I only started being active in the small group events/discussions, 2 or 3 years back. May God help me on this.

2. To be able to travel around the world has always been a dream to me, since young. Needless to say, this would require quite a sum of money. Yeah? && My relatives are scattered all around the world, I'm gonna make a visit to everyone of them some-days. Let's see. Guang Zhou, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Canada, and not to mention, Singapore. It would be awesome to explore and roam the world with my loved ones.

3. I'm currently studying Digital Media in Singapore Polytechnic, I'm at the 3D Animation option. But I'm on a internship programme at ST Electronics until August 19. Everything is classified, if not restricted there, so I can't tell much.

4. Cooking and baking are some of my favourite activities. It's an essential life-skill, so why not take them up? I'm currently exploring pasta, part of the reason is "Pasta"(K-drama). Plus, I always thought that girls always like guys who can cook. (lol)

5. Singapore has the highest movie-going rate in the world. On an average, a Singaporean goes to the movies 8 times a year. I'm proud to say that I watch way more than that per year. I always thought it's a learning experience for my work, so it's worth it. Yes?

6. My second dream is to marry Sunny.

7. Is it wierd for a guy to likelove strawberries? Cos' it's very much, my favourite fruit. Strawberry milk, Strawberry cake, Strawberry Pocky, Strawberry sundae, whatever it's got to do with that fruit, I love it.

8. I always look like I'm high on sugar. But it's just a sign of me being with someone comfortable.

++ 11 weeks more to go. ++
That is. The end of internship.

It was fun working in real projects, but I'm really looking forward to the Post-ITP briefing. How cool would that be. After 17 weeks.

The batch of NYP students left last week.
But there's two new kids in the block, they're too, from NYP.

Though the guy-girl ratio is about 3:1 now. Bleh.
Everyone gets along quite well though.
