Seng Yeen asked me today, whether anyone is reading my blog.
To be honest, I've no idea. But I will continue to do so, I hope. It serves as a journal to me too, thought might be useful. Ah well.

SIGGRAPH SEOUL is about 6 months away, and reservations for hotels are starting to come in real fast. I hope by the time, our application is confirmed, by then which is late August, there would still be rooms. May God truly help us on that, but firstly, I pray that all of us will pass the selection.

But I'm already excited, doing research, checking prices. What if I'm not in? Most probably, I will still go. NS is around the corner, if not now, when? The last time I travelled was 3 years ago, to China. Moreover, travelling the world has always been my ambition, my goal since young.

By hook, or by crook, I'm gonna get this done before I leave the world.

++ Princess of Persia ++

Storyline: 9.1/10

Visual Efx: 7.8/10

Sound Efx: 8.1/10

Do you know why it's Princess? You should.

Caught this movie awhile ago, not bad I would say. Although this movie lacks quite abit apart from the game, it introduces new elements to it, one of which is the female lead. Totally owning. "There must be a reason why you can't take your eyes of me." True.

The movie is exciting, there's totally no lack of heart-stopping scenes, but for young Disney fans, it might not be suitable, as it contains some violence. The acting was good, the stunts were definitely well-done and the shots are beautifully taken.

I thought there would be a "after-credit" scene, as I figured out that there would be a series to it. It should, if it follows closely to the game, and there's no harm in making part two right? The first was already a totally win.

But oh well, I should try it again some time.

And and! Public holidays this Friday!! ^^

++ Whipped Cream on my Face ++
Thanks to those jokers in my company. Haha. So unforgettable.

It happens on almost birthday party with friends. The birthday kid always had his face smeared with cake, or in my case, whipped cream. Neverthelessly, it's fun. We even made our own coffee with the remaining cream.

Mango cake. Holy. My father even bought one. Another one! I had two mango cakes in a single birthday. I don't think I would be touching mango cake for the rest of this year.

Lunch event tomorrow, with big boss, and our first ITP grading, can't wait for it! Small group at Vincent's house at night. Busy busy day.

++ 19 years ago. ++
On a stormy night, I heard someone screaming in pain. It was my mother. After much trouble, after much pushing and squeezing, I popped out. The doctor gave my ass a smack, I remembered. All this happenned 19 years ago.

Time flies.

Yes. In a few hours time, I will be 19. And another few, yet, I will be 20, another few more, I will be 50. God. Should I go visit Peter Pan or something?

Maybe not. The picture below probably explains why.

There aren't many Korean restaurants here in Singapore, not to even mention - good ones. With the new set meal promotion($7.90) and since I longed for Korean food, I decided to put my bucks on this. If cheap food means bad food, which that is the case, I rather not have it.

I ordered Jajangmyun (Korean black bean paste noodles) and I'd say, it's a huge disappointment. Number one, the sauce is done incorrectly, and number two, the noodles are tough. My friend ordered Kimchi noodles, and there's even a piece of plastic in it. The soup is too sour, the base is wrong, there's no taste of kimchi in it. In short, the dish is screwed-up.

Service-wise and ambience-wise, I'll say they put pretty much effort in it. There are quite an amount of decorations, which gives a good ambience for eating. There's even a television playing Korean music video. Good. But when it comes to eating, and enjoying the food, the television serves as a distraction. Male workers would stare at the television, I guess you would know the reason. Not good. Not good.

This trip proved to be dissapointing, but I shall give it a second chance. Maybe next time, I shall try the BBQ beef.

One of the first things you would most likely to notice, a restaurant bathing in the blue lights, a scene so rare right here, so why not, try this out.

I ordered Mushroom Carbonara, my friend ordered Crabmeat Linguine, and we shared a basket of fries. For 'bout $15, you get to eat a plateful, and when I saw plateful, it's literally. I would advise small-eaters to share, it's a heap, I nearly can't finish the whole plate. Everyone knows carbonara is creamy right? That's the bad point of serving "ice-kachang" portions, you feel like throwing-up after eating much.

Service-wise, this restaurant truly lacks as lot. The staff aren't attentive, you will have to wait before one attends to you. But for the price, and the portion, I think it's worth it, for once.

For those of you who like freebies, there are actually complimentaries there.

So, I got the chance to catch this movie yesterday.

Storyline: 9.2/10

Visual Efx: 6.2/10 (There wasn't much anyway).

Sound Efx: 7.2/10

What a great sequel to Ip Man. Donnie Yen did it again. With his lightning fists and quick-witted, he sure owns every one in this field. This sequel is more of fighting for the name of chinese kung-fu, the British came, they controlled everything, they insulted the Chinese, they insulted our martial arts. Hey. Someone's gonna take the stand yeah? He's none other than Donnie Yen, and featuring Sammo Hung, two of my favourites! Sweet.

Catch this movie, or you will regret it. Plus there's quite alot of touching scenes, so bring a bucket and a box of tissue along.

So what have I been doing this few days. There's barely any time for games on weekdays. But I've starting working on a personal project, creating War Machine. Modeling process almost completed.

Friday, probably the best day of the week. A start to the weekends. I hope it would be a great one though. Mother's Day celebration on Saturday night.

And yes, Jurong Point, Fish & Co. for the win.

++ Damn. ++
What's the possibility of getting your wallet back if you lose it?

Considering that the fact that this society is degrading, I am confident to say that the chances are less than 10%. Even with the maximum 10%, your money will also be taken. So the chances of getting your wallet "fully" is in fact, 1%. One. Still hope? Maybe. I will wait for a few days.

But now, I just want to tell my wallet that I really missed it, and I won't be careless with my belongings again.

For anyone who saw a brown leather wallet, with two movie tickets, a Sunny photocard, a whole lot of membership cards and $80. Please return to me. Last location remembered, ST Electronics' pantry, TechPoint foodcourt, or the road in-between. Thank you.

Mother's day is coming, and with my money gone. Let's see. I was thinking of Fish & Co. Jurong Point outlet. Yes. That's it.

++ Iron Man is Sexy dot com ++

Storyline: 8.8/10

Visual Efx: 7.9/10

Sound Efx: 8.2/10

Robert Downey did it again, this time, packing in a badder, more power, funnier and a sexier side of Iron Man. Though I'm no fan of that piece of metal suit, I must say that this movie did impress me. Although I didn't watch Iron Man I, the movie is well-constructed, so you won't feel lost if you didn't catch the first part.

With every hero, there's a villian. Right. So there's this WhipLash in here, quite impressive, with that two owning whips, which did owned Iron Man and War Machine quite badly. There's a lot of funny parts too. I won't spoil though, go buy the ticket and watch it yourself. Not dissapointing at all. Seats are almost 100% booked and filled, so you might want to wait for the Iron Man craze to subside before watching.
