++ Countdown to Seoul. ++
I started counting at 10 and in a blink of an eye, today is the day I depart for Seoul, with my poly buddies, Wangting, Yizhen and Weijie. It's gonna be a 10 day trip, the
main purpose is to volunteer at Siggraph Asia. To meet people, have fun, to eat good food, is no doubt the main point of this trip.
And it's gonna be freezing, I hope I'll survive, but too bad if Kim Jong Il decided to drop a bomb down there. Nah just kidding! But seriously good Lord, I pray that the tension between the two disputed borders would ease, and there would be world-wide peace. War is totally no joke, why kill, when the people can have world peace? There is no reason to spill blood. We are humans, why exterminate our very own breed? Why can't the leaders sit down and talk nicely over a plate of kimchi? Damn.
So anyway, I haven't finished packing my darn luggage. Still have bits and pieces to stuff in. I hate taking the plane too, the air pressure always gets me.
It's gonna be my virgin experience taking the plane without my family, touching snow falling from the sky (if Snow City doesn't count) and eating the legendary kimchi (and skewered pork belly. Count soju in too!) from its' land. It would be my first "White Christmas". Sigh, but seriously how I wish my loved ones would be going along- My parents, brothers and my yippy. No doubt, I will be missing them. Nevermind, we shall have one real soon! Shall it be Taiwan?
May the Almighty protect and bless this journey.
May His Spirit be with me on the way,
and may He lead me back to my home in peace.
Those I love, I commend to His care.
He is with them, I shall not fear.
As for myself, may His presence be my companion,
so that blessing may come to me and to everyone I meet.
Blessed are you, Lord, whose presence travels with His people.
Amen.And, may a Korean santa give me some gifts. Amen.
