Today's morning, a group of us talked over our early lunch, let's see what we've covered, places to buy clothes, going everywhere, how terrible are the noodles, but nothing struck me as the last topic we discussed - World's End.
Once again, this issue surfaced at the lunch table. Volcanoes are erupting, ice-bergs are melting, sea-levels rising, global warming happening all around the globe. 2012 perhaps? Some people believed that the world would end 21 December 2012, some presumed there's a major change in world order or a revolution coming on, others have no doubt that this is a complete twaddle. And who knows why the Mayan calender and the Prophecy of Popes have no records after that date?
"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." - Matthew 24:36Indeed, no one knows, but the one who created all this knows. I admit that I feel a tiny bit of depressed throughout the discussion. 2012? I'm only at a tender (well, not so) age of 21. The truly legal age to watch R21 films! Nah, that's a joke. But tell me truthfully, who wants to die so young? Well, not me definitely. There's a whole lot achivements, goals, aspirations that I want to accomplished, getting a good job, earning huge bucks, driving luxury cars, travel around the world, getting married, have children, and the list just goes on and on, the last being, you know what? Die. Die naturally. Not getting killed while driving away from collapsing buildings, boiled by magma, or getting flooded by a 50-feet tsunami.
"Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?"" - Matthew 14:31As a believer of Christ, we are promised the life we would have after death, the eternal life. Believing, it's just that simple. But why am I sitting here wasting my brain cells doubting? Judgment Day, the day when Jesus Christ would once come forth in full view of every single creature.
"11 Then I saw a great white throne and the one who sits on it. ... 12 And I saw the dead, great and small alike, standing before the throne. Books were opened, and then another book was opened, the book of the living. The dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books. 13 Then the sea gave up its dead. Death and the world of the dead also gave up the dead they held. And all were judged according to what they had done. 15 Those who did not have their name written in the book of the living were thrown into the lake of fire." - Revelation 20And this is the Word of God.
But before that, it's high-time we cherish all those around us and live our life to the fullest. “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever," said Mahatma Gandhi, one of the wisest man who walked on earth.
But to be honest, I got to get this book - "1001 Food You Must Eat Before You Die".
