++ Pray for Pastor Vincent. ++
Newton Life Church's youth pastor, Vincent Lim is undergoing a high-risk heart surgery as and when I'm typing this now. Let us join hearts and pray for this dear brother, may the Lord's peace and blessing be with them Vincent, the surgeons, Emily and his family members, and friends. If you would, my friends, please do pray for his quick healings too. For dear Father knows, I've always believe that prayers work.
And I'm so gonna look forward when he stand on the stage and start preaching God's words again. With lots of love, dear brother.

On a side note, as you all might know, it is holidays for the graduates currently, which is equivalent to an abundance of free time. I've applied for jobs at two nearby Starbucks outlet, one at West Coast Plaza, with not much crowd, and the other, which I just applied a few days ago at the newly-opened Clementi Mall, a stone's throw away from the train station, and one might've expected, it's crazily crowded. If time allows, I would apply for Baskin Robbins at the same location too.
Jobs aside, I'm doing a few 3D projects with my babe, working on lighting challenges, I would do the texturing and she would take over for the lighting of the scene. We're working on our second "child" now, it wouldn't take as long as 9 months, but it might take quite a bit though, for we're working on our individual portfolio and works.
And anyway, we celebrated father's 58th birthday last Sunday.

++ Pray for Japan. ++
Newspapers, news reports, online articles, radios, almost every media you might came across is reporting about the tragedy in Japan nowadays. As all might know, on 11 March 2011, Japan was hit by a massive 9.0 magnitude earthquake and tsunami. To make things even worse, first there was the radiation exposure, then it started snowing yesterday crippling rescue works. People are being forced to evacuate in the bitter cold weather, with shortages of water and fuel, what now? The death and missing toll has topped 11,000 and counting.
I thank God that my relatives living in Japan are safe for the time being. One family got evacuated and I pray that they would be able to settle down as soon as possible, and that the radiation would be contained. (It's at red-zone currently.)
I also urge everyone to keep Japan in their prayers, continue to pray for them, as I always have believed that prayers do work and it actually does. That's the least you could do. Or if you might, look up for the list of organizations you could donate to in your local newspaper.
Heatwaves, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, floods, tsunamis.. With this quake adding to the list of recent natural disasters, I wonder what's next? For all you might know, world's end is coming.

++ Just a Quick Thought. ++
After attending NYP's graduation show, two kind of feelings hit me - Amazement. Fear. I was awed by the quality of their work. Their animations, their ideas, their drawings, all seems to be so "high-level". To be honest, my works cannot even compare to them. It's not that I am not confident, but truth is not always pleasing to the ear - the standard is just not there. Industrial recruiters would definitely place them at a higher priority than I.
I don't know if joining SP at the first place was the correct step, but I guess I shouldn't be saying this at the very last phase of poly-life. Moreover, my gradshow is only a few hours away, there's no time to worry about this (and probably too late to regret and whine about it.)
But since it has come to this, it's time to beef up my portfolio!

++ What a busy week it will be. ++
Rushing for grad show preparations that is. Yup, our Singapore Polytechnic's graduation show would be at home turf's auditorium, just a stone throw away from Dover station, from 11 to 12 March (Yes! It's this weekend!)
So get your tickets now! Wait a minute, you don't need one.
But anyway, I attended the Digipen's talk a few days ago, alone.. It was inspiring that Digipen was one of the top schools (for game-related mostly, and sadly, but I figured out animation would make it somehow), at the same time, fearful of their strict and rigorous curriculum. I rather see it as a preparation for the industry rather, I know this route is gonna get tough, but when the going gets tough, the tough gets going, right? Their deadline for submission is a couple of weeks away, so I got to rush to hand in my portfolio too.
So much things done.. and so much left..
Just to keep myself organised (and a reminder)
- Print Namecards.
- Graduation Show.
- Hardcopy Portfolio.
- Online portfolio.
- Digipen's Application.
- Pool Outing with Bromance.
- Bake a Cake.
- Badminton with classmates.
